What’s in a PRP Shot?
Plasma is the liquid part of your blood that’s mostly made of water and protein. It lets red and white blood cells and platelets move through your bloodstream. Platelets are a type of blood cell that makes your blood clot. They also play a role in healing.
What we treat with PRP:
Hair injections, "Vampire Facial" with Microneedling, under eye injections, and sexual wellness injections for both men and women (to help with symptoms of aging and incontinence)
Immediately following the procedure, the most commonly reported temporary side effects are redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, tingling, numbness, lumpiness, and/or a feeling of pressure or fullness at the injection sites and/or in the treated area(s).
PRP injections are especially safe because they leverage your own plasma, which means that most people can receive platelet-rich therapy without any issue.
