Recently, Summer Faulkner, one of our nurses on staff was able to visit with Brooke Walker on Studio 5. Summer discussed the benefits of SmartLipo, and how it differs from traditional liposuction.
Both SmartLipo and traditional liposuction are able to treat the same areas including: chin, arms, tummy, muffin top, thighs and the lower bum, but Summer highlights the top four reasons why SmartLipo is superior to traditional procedures.
4 Reasons SmartLipo is Superior to Traditional:
- SmartLipo is performed with a laser cannula inserted into small incisions in the skin of the area being treated, and heats up to melt fat away, and removes more fat than a traditional procedure done without the laser.
- The laser cannula under the skin heats up and cauterizes blood vessels, making them bleed less. This leads to less bruising and swelling, and an overall faster recovery.
- Due to the use of the laser cannula heating up under the skin, the patient is left with tighter and smoother skin than in a traditional lipo procedure.
- Dr Jensen is performing it! Dr. Jensen is the best at what he does, and wants his patients to be happy. He takes the time to talk to you, find out what results you are looking for, and will work with you to determine a treatment plan.

Where Was Dr. J?
After watching the show segment with her kids, Summer said they referred to her as a movie star! Her ‘stardom’ came while Dr. Jensen was on his humanitarian trip in Guatemala, where he is helping people receive surgical care procedures they normally would not have access to. Summer is one of the nurses that assists in SmartLipo procedures and was happy to step in while Dr. J is away.
